Carlton was constantly putting pressure on herself that she needed to write “Untainted” faster and better. She’d look at her first book and wonder how she ever put any of it together. “Untainted” took a lot more out of her than her first book, “Hollow”. The concept, the plot, and the violence all sucked her in, showing her the scarier side of aliens and the impact something like that would have on society. The remake of War of the Worlds also helped shape her perspective of science fiction. It taught her just how diverse and creative science fiction truly is. She was introduced to science fiction by a television series called Farscape. Stories that feature wicked worlds as well as the worst sort of villains that do not talk about themselves in the third person. She has published a few poems in her time, but now she’s devoted to turning poetry into stories. She suffers by Mother Nature’s hands who curses the area with all four seasons in the span of just a week.ĭuring the day, she does all kinds of boring adult stuff, but by night, she’s putting her imagination into words while her cat continuously climbs all over her.
